An unnamed insider from Ubisoft told Bloomberg that the shareholders of the French company are planning to sell it.
Interest in the authors of the Assassin’s Creed series show Blackstone Inc. and KKR & Co (American investment companies). But at the moment, Ubisoft has not conducted serious negotiations with potential buyers.
Over the past year, the company’s shares have fallen by 41%, which led to a reduction in the market value of UBISoft to 4.8 billion euros.
Representatives of Blackstone Inc. And KKR & Co did not give any comments.
In 2010, the French company was already trying to purchase Vivendi holding. And in 2019, rumors appeared about interest from Microsoft.
